Power Mac G5 Take Apart

Memory (DIMMs)

Procedure

1. Locate the DIMM slots on the logic board.

2. Open the ejectors on the DIMM slot by pushing them out to the sides.

3. Holding the DIMM by both top corners, lift it straight up out of the computer.

Replacement Note:

Align the DIMM in the slot and push both ends of the DIMM down

until the tabs are vertical and the ejectors snap into place.

Important:

Do not touch the DIMM connectors. Handle the DIMM only by the edges.
